We thought the room was lovely. Good location, just enough parking nearby. Found the bed a little hard for me but that's just my preference. My partner was fine with it.

My stay was excellent. The double bedroom was well appointed, very clean and comfortable.The location is in a quiet area but close enough to walk into town.The communication from the owner was excellent too.I would recommend staying here.

St Andrews guest house was a great place to stay.A lovely room with everything we needed, very clean and a young man on hand during the day to tidy the room and made sure we had milk, coffee and tea bags he was very friendly and polite.The St Andrews Was also close to all of the the things that Irvine has to offer, A lovely smashing friendly town. Very pleased to find the St Andrews Guest House in Irvine. Needed an overnight stay for just one night and found the accommodation just fine for the purpose. Well priced against other places (booked direct to get the best rate), location great with free parking close by,good communication with owners and found the room clean and well presented and with good facilities.Comfortable sleep (might mention that the pillows are perhaps too 'full' but a minor issue) and found the location nice and quiet despite town centre position. Would not hesitate to stay again and certainly recommend on price and standard of property.

2 minutes from public transport , this wee gem of a guest house was ideal for us and very reasonably priced.We had only requested one night but whenour onward travel was disrupted we asked for an extra night which was no problem at all. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable with all you need for a short stay, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend St Andrews guest house and would be more than happy to stay here again. The room and facilities were very clean and well presented, very comfortable . Though the windows and window sills suffer with condensation in the morning, and room can be cold. Although the house keeper kindly swapped the portable heater for me , as the one in the room didn’t work. Overall Iam very happy.😊

I travelled with my 3 year old granddaughter to visit friends and do some sightseeing. It was a perfect base, convenient for transportation and shopping.Our apartment was perfect and had everything we needed for a pleasant and comfortable stay.

My 14 yr old granddaughter and I shared a twin room.The beds were super comfortable, the room very clean.Tea, coffee, sugar replenished each day. Loo rolls replenished daily. Towels provided..lots of hot water. (Maybe a bathroom shelf would be useful?)Perfectly situated in Irvine, a shop just around the corner.Highly recommended.

I highly recommend! Very clean and welcoming.

Could be a little difficult to find. Satnav took me to an apartment just around the corner. I had no information before arrival but that was dealt with when I get there. The phone number on the booking site is incorrect, but the number is on the sign outside the building. Andy was very helpful and answered the call quickly, and had all the information to hand, so check in was simple. Room was very clean and tidy. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

I did not stay as cancelled because I was ill.Asked about a refund and no reply or contact from them.Don't encourage me to try it now. Very disappointed

We use St Andrews as a rest place when visiting our daughter and son in law in Irvine. We have always found it to be clean and comfortable and within easy reach of Irvine town centre.

Comfortable, clean, Guest House with a friendly atmosphere.Room (twin-bedded) was well-appointed and maintained.Located close to town centre and a number of eateries.

This is an amazing little place for the money. 10 mins from the beach it's right in town. Has a fridge freezer and a microwave. If you are wanting to eat food in the room please bring your own utensils as there is no plates or knives and forks. I will stay here again with out fall. Thank you

Nothing any trouble for Andrew or his staff requested an iron and board and was left in our room for arrival.Rooms clean and very handy location to all amenities.

Lovely and clean very welcoming so close to pubs shops and harbour side our car was parked on Friday and didn’t get into it until we left on Sunday would definitely go back again only thing I would like to have was a chair in the room

Have used this accommodation for several months now while on business in the area. Rooms are clean and comfortable with good facilities. Good location with plenty of amenities close by.Andrew has been a great host, always helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean & tidy with an ample supply of tea, coffee & sugar. Top ups of these were in the lobby if needed. Any staff that I did encounter were friendly & helpful. A nice well kept & quiet guest house that I will likely use again.

Nothing seems to be a bother for Andrew and his staff.Everything asked for was recieved.Back again in a few months time wouldnt stay anywhere else as very handy to the town centre.

Room was great, large and comfortable, facilities in room were most welcome coming in from the snow. Think we found our spot to stay while in Scotland from now on.

Clean spotless and comfortable room and comfortable bed.I have stayed at St Andrews Guest House a few times and each time i have really enjoyed my stay and will return again.Having a fridge and microwave in the room is a nice touch and handy.Andrew is an excellent friendly host and nothing is to much trouble for him.Anything needed he will deal with it quickly.

A little tired in the bathroom area, but still functional. The public areas and room was nicely decorated and well maintained, clean and tidy. It was very quiet and we had a good night’s sleep. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this Guest House.

We really liked our 3 day visit, the room was spotless, and the young man whom we met when we arrived was very polite and helpful. The only problem we had was the stairs (not a complaint), as my Wife struggles with stairs, so in future we would have to have a ground floor room, St Andrews did say that the two rooms on the ground floor were singles however.Thank you again for a pleasant stay, I wish you continued success in the future.

This was ideal for a 1 night and the room was lovely. Great set up with fridge and kettle. Very clean and comfortable.

Room exactly as described on website.Spotlessly clean.Only minor complaint was the lock on Room 2, it took a good few attempts before we could open and close the lock.

The premises were very clean, tastefully decorated and met all our needs. Staff were very helpful and professional. Excellent location, very close to a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Excellent value, would highly recommend and definitely stay here again.

Modern and Clean. Lovely decor and nice ornamental touches in the entrance hallway. Beds very comfortable. The view from our window was flowery trees which boasted a beautiful sight of bees pollinating the flowers on them which was beautiful to watch and gave me some photo ops. Was going to stay another night but my daughter is terrified of showers and wanted to go home and get bathed. My only gripe was the shower power and trying to get the right temperature but no biggie.

Bedroom was very clean and smelled nice andBathroom was clean plus towels.Was on ground floor but floor above is obviously not a permanent one or thin floor boards as every noise, squeak and footsteps was heard and could hear everything that above was saying and they weren’t shouting but this went into the early hours of the morning eg 4am so not much sleep.Not enough sugar for 2 people for a cup of teaOther than that it was very clean and in a good distance from shops and places to eat to walk to

With the recent weather the studio apartment was roasted. The one window is nor enough ventilation for the room especially when cooking. Heater provided but no fan. Additional lighting above the cooking area would be very helpful. The bed base or frame seemed to have been broken under the mattress which lead to sore backs for both. Great location for the shops and town centre, lovely and clean inside. Good value for money.

Such a lovey place to stay central to all amenities. Rooms spotless and beds comfortable. Andrew and his staff do a great job and nothings a bother will certainly be staying there again.

Great base for us, only a 10 minute walk from family.We had to ring the host as we found people already occupying our allocated room, turns out they forgot to inform us of our last minute room change.On entering our room we found it tactfully decorated and clean. The fridge was a bonus, however the microwave serves little purpose as there are no cutlery/ crockery provided. The grouting in and around the shower could do with a little TLC but it was adequate for our stay.The quality of sleep was a tad disappointing, we found the duvets rather small for the beds, the pillows need replacing along with the mattresses, every time we turned we could feel the springs digging in.We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again once these issues are addressed.

Very happy with accommodation

St Andrews guest house provided us as a group exactly what we wanted. Too were very good with kettle microwaves. Ideally situated for both Irvine town and golf travel. Andrew had been in contact keeping us updated which was great and even made a Double into a twin after a slight booking error. I would recommend this accommodation for all groups playing golf.

Clean and comfortable and easy access due to precise arrival instructions. Short walk from town centre If required. We had a fridge and microwave in the room but did not require them on this occasion. A good nights sleep so would highly recommend. Was ideal for our overnight stay before the early Arran ferry.

We book into St Andrews Guest House not knowing what we would get as we have never been to a self entry, we were very pleasantly surprised by the initial entrance to the property.The whole place is spotless and we were very comfortable, super impressed with the whole building.No trouble parking. Great value for money, we will be back if we need accommodation in Irvin and we will recommend to family and friends

The rooms were very clean with everything you would want for an overnight stay . Tea & Coffee, Fridge, microwave. My only concern was it was -9 outside and there was no heating on in the room . Not sure if radiators were on some sort of timer. But they needed to be on all night in those extreme temperatures.Apart from that would stay again

We had an amazing stay in the Guest house . It truly is immaculate & stunning decor . We honestly can't fault this place . My daughter & I booked an overnight stay to visit family & we all enjoyed the experience.The room had a fridge & microwave & tea/coffee facilities which we did use . My little grandson is type 1 diabetic so we knew we would need to have snacks in the room . This place was fantastic for accomadating this.Ment our stay was stress free . We would certainly stay here again

We stayed for 1 night on Sunday 9th September, as we had a golf day on Monday 10th October at Dundonald (10 minutes 'drive away). The booking process was easy, and all information was e-mailed clearly for our late evening arrival. We found the guesthouse, clean, comfortable and quiet. (Twin Room 5). There was room on the street across from BB to park easily and securely. Check out was easy, by just leaving keys in a box at front door.Thank you again .

Very convenient location for Ayr/Glasgow. Near to local restaurants and great pub nearby. Excellent convenience store round the corner. Outstanding value for money, apartment was top notch for the price. Helpful owner, Andy sorted me out a taxi early Sunday for Glasgow. Thoroughly enjoyed my trip up to Scotland and I will be back for sure.

Highly recommended St Andrews. Very clean peaceful so near amenities. We usually stay at B&B but this didn't put us off not having breakfast. Porridge pots suited us untill we could eat out .our son lived near by so it was only a 5 minute drive. Andrew was very pleasantonly 1 criticism which I mentioned to him as we are with health issues we could have done with a grab rail or rubber mat for the shower as it was quite slippy. Highly recommend this guest house .Will definitely book again as we visit our son regularly

Great place for to stay

Room and bathroom was very clean and very spacious even with no staff, access was easy and loved that the landing lights where motion activate . Hours was right next to shops and food outlets and short walk to main shopping mall. Definitely recommend this place for your stay in Irvine I will definitely be back

We hade a perfect stay , the hotel is nice and are in the center of the city in walking distance to all what we needed.

I was visiting family in Irvine and just needed somewhere to sleep. The room was comfortable, very clean, just the right size, bathroom with good shower and the fridge was very handy to keep cold drinks in. It was close to main roads and bus routes but quiet.

I was in Irvin just for a day and found this place on my budget. The room was very clean and had all amenities. It has a wonderful view from window. The check in and checkout process was easy. Overall it's a value for your money.

Communication through email was quick & easy. On arrival, the room was clean & airy. The bed was very comfortable.

I was traveling with my 10 year old son. We were in room 3. Was fine, beds really comfortable, plenty of storage. Microwave and fridge came in very handy! Property has recently been refurbished, spoke to a guy in the shop round the corner. En suite bathroom was small but ok. Shower cubicle door didn't fit properly causing water to spill out the shower onto the floor and the toilet didn't seem secured to the floor but there are little things that didn't cause any problems. Place itself is lovely. Was lucky to get parked right outside on the street. If you are visiting, loads of good places to eat very close by.
